Working with the elderly

Volunteering with elderly people can involve giving advice and information for organisations such as Age Concern, being a Meals on Wheels driver/helper or being a befriender and visiting the elderly in their homes.

Recent examples of opportunities are:

Money Matters volunteer for Age Concern, scheme to support the independence of the elderly and disabled to manage their paperwork and personal administration
Helpers for the Pop-in-Lunch Club and Waterside Day Centre which both provide a weekly lunch for elderly people
Meals on wheels escorts and helpers to supply meals to those that are unable to cook for themselves
